The Knanaya Catholic Youth League (KCYL) Kettering Unit organized a beautiful outdoor event blending friendship and adventure. This festive gathering, which saw enthusiastic participation from Knanaya youth, became a true reflection of unity and community awareness.
Set against a captivating natural backdrop, the adventurous trip and the accompanying barbecue gathering turned into a day full of excitement and celebration. Walking through nature and enjoying its beauty, group games, and fun by the water made the event all the more joyous. Immersed in the splendor of the outdoors and sharing in each other’s friendship, everyone became an integral part of the celebration.
“This is not just a trip or a barbecue,” said Mr. George Biji Mamkoottathil, President of KCYL Kettering Unit. “It’s a platform for our youth to come together, grow, and build lasting friendships.”
The main highlight was the delicious barbecue feast, featuring both traditional dishes and new culinary experiments by the youth. Music, dance, and laughter created a memorable atmosphere.
Organizers noted that this was not just a one-day event — plans are already underway for charity initiatives and more travel programs.
“Events like these help strengthen our unity and deepen our bonds,” said Miss Reshma Jomon, Secretary of the KCYL Kettering Unit. “Our faith and culture are what bring us together — and youth participation is essential to that.”
Elders and parents from the Knanaya community also wholeheartedly supported the initiative.
“Such events are vital to connect our youth with the community and to revive Knanaya values,” said Mrs. Sheeba Biji, Director of the KCYL Kettering Unit.
As the event drew to a close, the youth radiated participation, joy, and togetherness. It was clear to all: this was not just an ordinary trip — it marked a new beginning for KCYL.

ക്നാനായ കാത്തലിക്ക് യുവജന സംഘടന (KCYL) കേറ്ററിംഗ് യൂണിറ്റിൻ്റെ ആഭിമുഖ്യത്തിൽ, സൗഹൃദവും സാഹസികതയും ചേർന്ന മനോഹരമായ ഔട്ട്ഡോർ പരിപാടി സംഘടിപ്പിച്ചു. ക്നാനായ യുവതീ യുവാക്കൾ ഒരുമയോടെ പങ്കെടുത്ത ഈ ദിനാഘോഷം, കൂട്ടായ്മയുടെയും, സമുദായ ബോധത്തിന്റെയും നേർക്കാഴ്ചയായി മാറി.
ആകർഷകമായ പ്രകൃതി പശ്ചാത്തലത്തിൽ നടന്ന ഈ സാഹസിക യാത്രയും, അതിനോട് അനുബന്ധിച്ച് നടത്തിയ ബാർബിക്യൂ കൂട്ടായ്മയും, യുവജനങ്ങൾ ഒരുമിച്ച് ആഘോഷിച്ച ഒരു ആവേശഭരിത ദിനമായി. പ്രകൃതിയിലൂടെ നടന്ന് പ്രകൃതി സൗന്ദര്യം ആസ്വദിച്ചും, ഗ്രൂപ്പ് ഗെയിമുകളും, വെള്ളത്തിനരികിലെ വിനോദങ്ങളുമെല്ലാം പരിപാടിയെ കൂടുതൽ ഉല്ലാസകരമാക്കി. പ്രകൃതിയുടെ സൗന്ദര്യത്തിൽ ലയിച്ചുകൊണ്ട്, പരസ്പര സൗഹൃദം പങ്കുവെച്ചുകൊണ്ട്, ഓരോരുത്തർക്കും ആഘോഷത്തിന്റെ ഹൃദയഭാഗമായി മാറാനായി.
“ഇത് ഒരു യാത്രയോ ബാർബിക്യൂയോ മാത്രം അല്ല,” എന്ന് ശ്രീ ജോർജ് ബിജി മാംക്കൂട്ടിൽ, കെസിവൈഎൽ കേറ്ററിംഗ് യൂണിറ്റിൻ്റെ പ്രസിഡന്റ് വ്യക്തമാക്കി. “നമ്മുടെ യുവജനങ്ങൾക്ക് ചേർന്ന് പ്രവർത്തിക്കാനും, വളരാനും, സൗഹൃദങ്ങൾ വളർത്താനുമുള്ള വേദിയാണിത്.”
പ്രധാന ആകർഷണമായത് രുചികരമായ ബാർബിക്യൂ വിരുന്നാണ്. പാരമ്പര്യ വിഭവങ്ങൾക്കും യുവജനങ്ങളുടെ പുതിയ പരീക്ഷണ ങ്ങളും പാചകങ്ങളുമാ യിരുന്നു അതിന്റെ ഭംഗി. സംഗീതവും നൃത്തവും ചിരിയുമൊക്കെയായി അപൂർവ്വ നിമിഷങ്ങളുടെ, ഒരു അന്തരീക്ഷം സൃഷ്ടിച്ചു.
ഇത് ഒരു ദിവസത്തെ പരിപാടിയല്ലെന്നും, ഇതിനൊപ്പം ചാരിറ്റി പ്രവർത്തനങ്ങൾ, കൂടുതല് യാത്രാപരിപാടികൾ തുടങ്ങിയ പദ്ധതികളും തയ്യാറായിക്കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നതായാണ്. എന്ന് സംഘാടകർ വ്യക്തമാക്കി.
“നമ്മുടെ സമൂഹത്തെ ഐക്യത്തോടെ കൊണ്ടുപോകാനും, ആത്മബന്ധം വളർത്താനും സഹായിക്കുന്നതാണ് ഇത്തരം പരിപാടികൾ,” എന്ന് miss രേഷ്മ ജോമോൻ, കെസിവൈഎൽ കേറ്ററിംഗ് യൂണിറ്റ് സെക്രടറി പറഞ്ഞു. “നമ്മുടെ വിശ്വാസവും സംസ്കാരവുമാണ് നമ്മെ ഒന്നിപ്പിക്കുന്നത് — അതിനാൽ യുവജനങ്ങളുടെ പങ്കാളിത്തം നിർണായകമാണ്.”
ക്നാനായ സമുദായത്തിലെ മുതിർന്നവരും രക്ഷിതാക്കളും ഈ സംരംഭത്തിന് ഉത്സാഹത്തോടെ പിന്തുണ നൽകി.
“ഇത്തരം പരിപാടികൾ യുവജനങ്ങളെ സമൂഹവുമായി ചേർത്തുനിർത്താനും, ക്നാനായ മൂല്യങ്ങൾ പുനരുജ്ജീവിപ്പിക്കാനും അത്യാവശ്യമാണ്.”
എന്ന് ശ്രീമതി ഷീബ ബിജി, കെസിവൈഎൽ കേറ്ററിംഗ് യൂണിറ്റ് ഡയറക്ടർ, അഭിപ്രായപ്പെട്ടു:
പരിപാടിയുടെ അവസാനഘട്ടത്തിൽ, പങ്കാളിത്തം, സന്തോഷം, ആത്മബന്ധം എന്നിവയുടെ മേളമായാണ് യുവജനങ്ങളെ കാണാൻ കഴിഞ്ഞത്. ഇതൊരു സാധാരണ യാത്രയല്ല, കെസിവൈഎല്ലിൻ്റെ ഒരു പുതിയ തുടക്കമാണ് എന്ന് അവർക്കെല്ലാവർക്കും ഉറപ്പായി.
